Z Stage Idler Pulley Installation

Tools and Materials Required
• 1/8-inch hex key
• Medium strength threadlocker
Procedure
1.
Insert the axle bolt through pulley assembly(s).
2.
Apply a small amount of medium strength threadlocker to the axle bolt threads.
Caution: Do not allow threadlocker to come in contact with the
bearing of pulley.
3.
Attach the pulley to the Z drive motor support bracket and then tighten the axle bolt.
4.
Spin the pulley by hand to make sure that it rotates freely.
5.
Install the Z drive belt. (See

Set the Z belt tension. (See

Perform the Platen Level Adjustment. (See

If the platen level was adjusted, perform the Upper Z Stage Hard Stops Adjustment.
