16.4 Watchpoint Trigger Applications

The watchpoint facility output trigger can be used by the system designer to initiate a halt
to the processor core through the checkstop signals. When the processor clock is stopped,
the internal state of the processor can then be scanned out through the JTAG port (TDO)
using emulators available from third party tool developers.
