6.15.5.6 Testing Bit Devices

Normal operation
(1) Press the [BIT DEVICE] menu key and enter the desired bit device.
(2) Press or press and hold the [SETTING METHOD] menu key in accordance with the following conditions.
 To use a forced ON: Select [FORCE ON].
 To use a forced OFF: Select [FORCE OFF].
 To toggle between forced ON/OFF: Select [TOGGLE FORCE].
(3) Press the [SET] menu key.
Abnormal operation
This information describes the details of error messages displayed when testing bit devices and the corrective action thereof.
Error message
The device name has not been entered.
Enter the device name.
The device is incorrect. Specify a bit de-
vice.
The device No. is outside the range.
Check using the parameter device.
Label types and settings do not match.
Set to match label types.
Refer to "6.15.5.8 Closing the Device Test Popup Screen".
This selects the bit device input field.
This sets the focus to the device ON/OFF setting.
This changes the setting method selection when the focus is already set.
Refer to "6.15.5.6 Testing Bit Devices".
This switches to the word device setting screen.
Refer to "6.15.5.8 Closing the Device Test Popup Screen".
This selects the word device input field.
This selects the setting value input field.
Refer to "6.15.5.7 Testing Word Devices".
This sets the focus to the display.
This changes the display selection when the focus is already set.
This sets the focus to the format.
This changes the format selection when the focus is already set.
Sets the focus to the sign.
This changes the sign selection when the focus is already set.
This switches to the bit device setting screen.

Error details
This is displayed when the [SET] menu
key is pressed without entering the de-
vice name.
This is displayed when the [SET] menu
key is pressed when something other
than a bit device was entered.
This is displayed when the [SET] menu
key is pressed when a device outside of
the range is specified in the bit device
name input field.
This is displayed by pressing "Settings"
menu key when the label type is word.

Remedy
Enter the bit device before pressing the
[SET] menu key.
Enter the bit device before pressing the

Enter a bit device number within range
before pressing the [SET] menu key.
Change to the word device test, set the
format selected in "Display", "Sign" se-
lection field to match label type, then
press the [SET] menu key.
