6.14.2.6 Reading External Project Data and Storing in the NC

Normal operation
(1) Press the [LIST] menu key to move the focus to the list. Select the desired PLC data from the list. Deselect the check
boxes for data you do not want to store.
(When operation mode is GX Works2, program (symbolic information) and parameters are enabled and cannot be dis-
abled. Device comment can be selected separately.)
(2) Select data, then press the "Read" menu key. After pressing this menu key, the PLC data selected in the list is read from
the project stored in an external device and then stored in the specified project in the NC.
When operation mode is GX Works2, PC parameters cannot be written if a project contains remote password.
Depending on operation mode, handling of PLC data differ when operating external file. Refer to "6.6.2.3 Handling of PLC
Data during External File Operation" for details.
This is the default focus position when the screen is displayed.
This displays PLC data stored in the selected on the select external project screen.
This displays nothing if there is nothing stored or no PLC data has been selected.
Refer to "6.14.2.7 Closing the "EXT.->NC" Screen".
The focus is applied to the list.
This selects/deselects the check boxes for all data in the list.
This checks the check boxes for parameters and programs in the list.
This does not include PLC messages however.
This checks the check boxes for the PLC messages in the list.

This displays the select external project popup screen.
Refer to "6.14.3 Select External Project Popup Screen".
This selects/deselects the check boxes for data selected in the list.
This operation can also be performed with the [SP (space)] key.
