6.11 Basic Operation
This section describes the basic operational procedures to use the PLC on-board. Refer to the operational procedures for
each screen (described later) for information on operating specific screens.

6.11.1 Basic Operation 1 (Configuring Multiple Project Parameters)

The following information describes the configuration procedure when using multiple projects.

6.11.1.1 Cases in which Sequence Programs are not Stored

If the sequence programs are not stored, the menu key used to configure multiple project parameters is displayed on the main
screen.
The NC must be restarted to update the multiple project parameter configuration.

Restart the NC

6.11.1.2 Cases in which Sequence Programs are Stored

If the sequence programs are stored in the NC, use the following procedure to configure the multiple project parameters.
Procedure
Back up the sequence program. (*1)

Format the temporary storage area in the CNC.
(2)
Write PLC data stored in the temporary storage area of the CNC to ROM.
(3)
Configure the multiple project parameters.
(4)
(*1) When backing up the program, it is saved with the data format according to the project operation mode (GX Developer,
GX Works2). For setting method of operation mode, refer to " Operation mode settings".
When operation mode is GX Works2, the program is saved in one file format.
