5.7 Developing Structured Project
5.7.4 Writing the Sequence Program to the CNC Controller
This section describes how to write sequence programs in a structured projects from GX Works2 to the CNC controller
(particularly restrictions and operation specific to this CNC).
Note
(1) This operation writes data to the temporary storage in the CNC (RAM in CNC). Data in temporary storage (RAM in CNC)
are not retained after power OFF. To retain data after power OFF, write sequence programs to the ROM in the CNC
according to "5.7.6 Writing Sequence Programs to ROM in CNC".
5.7.4.1 Operation Procedure
(1) Start the operation screen by the following operation on GX Works2.
[Online] -> [Write to PLC]
(2) Select [Program Memory/Device Memory] in [Target Memory Setting] for [Symbolic Information] on the following screen.
Select [Program Memory/Device Memory] in the target memory setting for PLC data.
Select symbolic information and sequence program file to be written, and click [Execute].
Use [Remote Operation] under [Related Functions] to instruct the PLC to RUN or STOP.
Note
[Program Memory/Device Memory] is the only valid option for [Target Memory Setting].
When the symbolic information is written to a CNC, labels, function blocks, etc. included in the sequence program are
also written.
