Lubricating the Z-Axis Screw

The Z-axis lead screw should be lubricated with a small amount of machine
grease every three months. This ensures continued smooth raising and
lowering of the build tray during printing.
To lubricate the Z-axis screw:
1. Prepare machine grease (supplied in the Start-Up kit).
2. Open the printer.
3. Put on a cleaning glove.
4. Squeeze a pea-size amount of grease on your finger, and spread it on the
When the build tray rises and lowers, during normal printer operation, the
grease will spread over the length of the Z-axis screw. (There is no need to
spread the grease manually.)
