(1) High-speed Scan Setting Examples
(a) Communication cycle = 1 ms (with MECHATROLINK-II only) and Max. execution time ≤
0.8 ms
High-speed scan setting ≥ (1.25 × 0.8) = 1 ms
High-speed scan setting = 1 ms, 2 ms, 3 ms, etc. (an integer of 1 ms or higher)
(b) Communication cycle = 1 ms (with MECHATROLINK-II only) and Max. execution time ≤
1.4 ms
High-speed scan setting ≥ (1.25 × 1.4) = 1.75 ms
High-speed scan setting = 2 ms, 3 ms, etc. (an integer of 2 ms or higher)
(c) Communication cycle = 2 ms (with MECHATROLINK-I or MECHATROLINK-II) and
Max. execution time ≤ 0.8 ms
High-speed scan setting ≥ (1.25 × 0.8) = 1 ms
High-speed scan setting = 1 ms, 2 ms, 4 ms, etc. (1 ms or an integral multiple of 2 ms)
(d) Communication cycle = 2 ms (with MECHATROLINK-I or MECHATROLINK-II) and
Max. execution time ≤ 1.4 ms
High-speed scan setting ≥ (1.25 × 1.4) = 1.75 ms
High-speed scan setting = 2 ms, 4 ms, etc. (an integral multiple of 2 ms)
(2) Low-speed Scan Setting Examples
Similar setting of high-speed scan is possible for the low-speed scan.

14.4.3 Setting and Changing the Module Configuration Definition

Observe the following precautions when setting and changing the Module configuration definition.
• Always confirm that the mounted Modules agrees with the defined Module.
• Always save any data that has been set or changed to flash memory.
• Turn the power supply to the MP2100/MP2100M OFF and ON after making settings or changes.
