When assigning circuit numbers to the Motion Control and Communications Function Modules, the num-
bers must be within the following ranges.

Precautions When Setting Module Configuration Definitions

Observe the following precautions when writing module configuration definitions.
• Write the module configuration definitions only when the high-speed scan has sufficient unused pro-
cessing time.
Otherwise, processing may exceed the time limit of the high-speed scan.
• Before writing module configuration definitions, make sure the machine is not in operation.
• Before you use the Machine Controller, save any written data to flash memory and turn the power sup-
ply to the Racks OFF and ON again.
