Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
Selecting the color of the "back" (i.e. inside) of the
cylinder – F4 (BACK COLOR) to F8 (EXT VIDEO)
When the "MODE" item is set to "FRONT & BACK" or
"BACK", it is possible to apply a color to the "back" (i.e. inside)
of the cylinder (see figure on the previous page).
Carry out the operation in the same way as for PAGETURN (see
page 5-110) except that F4 (BACK COLOR) in this menu
corresponds to F3 (BACK COLOR) in the PAGETURN menu.
This provides the effect of wrapping the image around a sphere.
With the fourth set of soft key indications shown in the
NONLINEAR menu, press F4 (SPHERE) to display the SPHERE
menu.

SPHERE menu soft key indications
• F4 (BACK COLOR) to F8 (EXT VIDEO) are only displayed
when the BKDM-3050 option is installed.
• F7 (MIX COLOR) further requires the BKDM-3040 option.
• F8 (EXT VIDEO) is only effective in component mode.
The items shown in this menu, and the function key operations are
the same as in the CYLINDER menu.
For details see the section "CYLINDER Settings" (page 5-114).
Note
When rotating a sphere, it is not possible to show the points
corresponding to the poles.
