Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
Selecting the video for the afterimage part – F3 (TRAIL
TYPE) and F4 (SOURCE TYPE)
Use the following procedure.

Press F3 (TRAIL TYPE), and select the type of video to be
used for the afterimage part.
LIVE: live video
FREEZE: write a freeze frame of the same size as the input
video to recursive memory.

Press F4 (SOURCE TYPE), and select the video or color
matte to be used for the afterimage part.
FLAT: a single hue
HUE ROT: a progressively changing hue
MIX: a "color mix"
EXT VIDEO: external video
RANDOM: random colors
• The "MIX" option is only valid when the BKDM-3040 option is
installed.
• The "EXT VIDEO" option is only valid when the BKDM-3050
option is installed.
Select the color, or carry out adjustments as follows. (When you
select "EXT VIDEO" there are no adjustments.)
Selecting a single-hue matte for the afterimage part – F4
(SOURCE TYPE) "FLAT"
After pressing F4 (SOURCE TYPE) and selecting "FLAT", set the
color parameters.
• Left knob ("Lum"): luminance (0 to 100%)
• Center knob ("Sat"): saturation (0 to 100%)
• Right knob ("Hue"): hue (0 to 359.99˚)
