Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
Using the trackball and Z-ring to change the position
and size of the spotlight – F3 (TRACK BALL)
Use the following procedure.
1
Press F3 (TRACK BALL), turning it on.

Use the trackball to move in the x-direction or y-direction, and
turn the Z-ring to change the size.
As you manipulate the trackball and Z-ring, the "Position &
Size" parameters change accordingly.
Using the control knobs to change the size and position
of the spotlight – Position & Size
Align the line cursor with "Position & Size", and adjust the
following parameters.
• Left knob ("X"): x-coordinate of the center position (–4 to +4).
• Center knob ("Y"): y-coordinate of the center position (–3 to
+3).
• Right knob ("Size"): pattern size (0 to 100%)
Adjusting the aspect ratio and angle of the spotlight
pattern – Aspect & Angle
Align the line cursor with "Aspect & Angle" and adjust the
following parameters.
• Left knob ("Asp"): aspect ratio (–100 to +100%)
• Right knob ("Angl"): direction and angle of rotation of the
pattern (–8 to +8)
Adjusting the intensity and edge softness of the
spotlight pattern – Intensity & Soft
Align the line cursor with "Intensity & Soft" and adjust the
following parameters.
• Left knob ("Lght"): intensity (0 to 100%)
• Center knob ("Soft"): edge softness of the pattern (0 to 100%)
