Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
This section describes how to operate the effects which change the
overall appearance of the image.
The overall image effects are selected from the PICTURE
MODIFY menu.

PICTURE MODIFY menu soft key indications
• F4 (DIM & FADE) and F7 (COMBINER) are effective only
when the BKDM-3050 option is installed.
• F5 (GLOW) and F6 (BRICK) are effective only when the
BKDM-7060 and BKDM-7070 options are installed.
In the PICTURE MODIFY menu, press the required function key
as shown in the following table to select the effect.

Function
Divide up the image into a
matrix, and insert moving
video images.
Apply a blurring akin to
camera shake.
Apply a soft outline blurring.
Make the image dim into the
distance or fade into the
background.
Provide the image with the
impression of a soft glow.
Create a parallelpiped (six
faced solid with all opposite
faces parallel) using a single
DME-7000 unit.
Combine the images from
DME-7000 units.
