Selecting a background with a changing color – F3 (HUE
ROT)
Use the following procedure.
1
Press F3 (HUE ROT), turning it on.

Adjust the parameters as follows.
• Left knob ("Lum"): luminance (0 to 100%)
• Center knob ("Sat"): saturation (0 to 100%)
• Right knob ("Sped"): rate of change of hue per frame (–12 to
+12°)
Selecting a super-black background – F6 (SUPER
BLACK)
Use the following procedure.
1
Press F6 (SUPER BLACK), turning it on.

Use the left knob ("Levl") to adjust the super-black level.
(0 to –40%)
Making the background black with the clean key
function – F7 (CLEAN KEY)
When using the clean key function on a DME image in the
switcher, press F7 (CLEAN KEY) turning it on.
This makes the background black.
Note
When F1 (BKGD) is off, the DME output video image extends
slightly outside the key signal and it has sharp edges, to allow for
edge softening when F1 (BKGD) is on or when keying on the
switcher with the DME image.
Clean key mode is provided to make it possible to make the edges
of a DME image soft without turning F1 (BKGD) on, and allow
keying of the DME image on the switcher.
