Selecting a wipe pattern by number – F2 (PATTERN NO.)
Use the following procedure.

Press F2 (PATTERN NO.), turning it on.

Enter the required pattern number.
The wipe pattern numbers which can be selected are 1, 17, 18,
21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 48, 49 and 304. If the entered value is
not one of these, the closest smaller pattern number is
automatically selected.
For details of the pattern numbers and types, see the Appendix
"List of Wipe/Mix Patterns" (page A-2).
Varying the wipe pattern position and size with the
trackball and Z-ring – F3 (TRACK BALL)
Use the following procedure.

Press F3 (TRACK BALL), turning it on.

To move the pattern in the x- or y-direction, turn the trackball.
To change the pattern size, turn the Z-ring.
As you move the trackball and Z-ring the "Position & Size"
parameters change. The cursor stays on the indication of the
function key F3 (TRACK BALL).
Varying the wipe pattern position and size with the
control knobs
Adjust the "Position & Size" parameters.
• Left knob ("X"): horizontal position of center (–4 to +4)
• Center knob ("Y"): vertical position of center (–3 to +3)
• Right knob ("Size"): pattern size (0 to 100%)
