Use F1 (˘) to F4 (÷) to select the color matte name to which
you wish to assign the color.

Press F7 (GRAB MARKER), turning it on.
A marker appears on the video monitor screen, and the
trackball is automatically delegated to marker movement.
Note
Any of the following operations automatically turns the grab
marker off:
• Selecting a different menu
• Changing the channel
• Pressing any button in the function delegation section of the
control panel

Use the trackball or mouse to align the grab marker with the
desired color.

Press the SEL/FINE button or click the mouse button.
This sets the color matte to the selected color.

Turn F7 (GRAB MARKER) off.
The marker disappears.
Capturing the input video in frame memory – F8
(CANVAS CAPTION)
This captures a still image in frame memory for use with the
sketch effects DRAW1 and DRAW2 functions.
Each time you press F8 (CANVAS CAPTION), the input video is
captured as a freeze frame in frame memory.
Note
The capacity of the frame memory is a single frame, and thus the
contents are overwritten each time a frame is captured. The color
grabber also overwrites the frame memory.
