Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
Inverting the sense of cropping – F4 (CROP INVERT)
Press F4 (CROP INVERT), turning it on.
This interchanges the image area and the cropped area.
Applying a border – F8 (BORDER)
To apply a border to the cropping frame, press F8 (BORDER).
The BORDER menu appears.
For details see the section "BORDER settings" (page 5-15).
Drop shadow functions for luminance key effects, external key
effects, and "overlap nonlinaer effects" (PAGE TURN, ROLL,
CYNLINDER and SPHERE) require the BKDM-7060 option.
In the BKGD & EDGE menu, press F4 (DROP SHADOW) to
display the DROP SHADOW menu.

DROP SHADOW menu soft key indications
• F5 (MIX COLOR) and F8 (COLOR MIX) are effective only
when the BKDM-3040 option is installed.
• F6 (EXT VIDEO) is effective only when the BKDM-3050 option
is installed in component mode.
The following are some of the operations carried out in this menu.
Toggling the drop shadow on and off – F1 (DROP
SHADOW)
Press F1 (DROP SHADOW), turning it on.
This enables the following settings.
Note
When DROP SHADOW is on, "RECUR" (see page 5-46) for an
"overlap nonlinear effect" automatically becomes "OFF".
