Editing Key Frames

Specifying the edit point
When inserting, editing or deleting a key frame, it is necessary to
stop the effect at the appropriate point on the timeline. Such a
point is referred to as an edit point, and it is possible to specify any
point, whether on a key frame or between two key frames.
Use any of the following methods to stop the effect on the edit
point.
Trackball operation
Press the RUN CTRL button in the transformation operation
section, turning it on, then turn the trackball or Z-ring to position
the effect at the required point.
Using this method it is possible to stop the effect between key
frames.
Button operation
Using the key frame shift section, carry out one of the following
operations. Note that if more than one channel is active, the edit
point is specified in terms of the reference channel.
• To move to the next key frame after the current position where
the effect is stopped, press the NEXT KF button.
• To move to the last key frame before the current position where
the effect is stopped, press the PREV KF button.
• To move to a key frame specified by number, press the TC/
GOTO KF button, then enter the required number from the
numeric keypad.
• To move to a specified time code, hold down the SHIFT button
while pressing the TC/GOTO KF button, then enter the required
time code from the numeric keypad.
