Making Settings Using a Personal Computer
This section explains how to make settings using a
personal computer.
Note
You can also make settings using the menu of the SIU-
100/100T. The latest settings made, either by menu
operation or via the personal computer have priority.
Requirements
The following hardware and Web browser software are
necessary to make settings.
• Windows or Macintosh personal computer which can
be connected to the Ethernet connector of the SIU-
100/100T.
• Browser
For Windows: Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 7
For Macintosh: Internet Explorer 5, Netscape 7

Make sur JavaScript
of the browser properly
installed and enabled.
Preparation
The following settings are required before starting the
setup via the personal computer.
• Connect the personal computer to the SIU-100/100T.
Use an ethernet cross cable when connecting directly
to the Ethernet connector of the SIU-100/100T. Use
an ethernet straight cable when connecting via a hub.

• Set the IP address of the SIU-100/100T.
For detailed information on the IP address, etc., see
"Setting the IP address and so on" on page 121.
• Set a password for the SIU-100/100T.
For detailed information on the IP address, etc., see
"Setting the IP address and so on" on page 121.
If a password is not set, you can enter the Edit Mode
without a password.
