Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
Selecting the generation pattern of stardust trails – F4
(INVERT)
Press F4 (INVERT) to toggle between "ON" and "OFF" settings.
ON: erase the afterimage with the randomly generated stardust
trail pattern.
OFF: leaves the afterimage with the randomly generated
stardust trail pattern.
Randomly erasing the afterimage – F5 (RANDOM)
Press F5 (RANDOM), turning it on.
This randomly erases the afterimage as time passes.
This strobes the input video at regular intervals, leaving an
afterimage trail.
In the FREEZE & RECUR menu, press F3 (TRAIL), to display the
TRAIL menu.

The following are some of the operations carried out in this menu.
Leaving an afterimage trail – F1 (RECUR)
Use the following procedure.

Press F1 (RECUR), turning it on.

Adjust the "Decay" parameters as follows.
• Left knob ("Decy"): degree of blurring of video signal (0 to
100%)
• Right knob ("Dust"): degree of leaving stardust trails of
afterimage (0 to 100%)
