Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
This splits the picture up, and makes it peel apart in two strips.
With the second set of soft key indications shown in the
NONLINEAR menu, press F2 (FLYING BARS) to display the
FLYING BARS menu.

The following are some of the operations carried out in this menu.
Toggling the flying bars effect on and off – F1
(FLYING BARS)
Use the following procedure.

Press F1 (FLYING BARS), turning it on.

Adjust the parameters for the following items.

"Transition" Nature of
transition and
execution
"Partition" Way in which the
pieces break up
Knob adjustments of parameters
Left ("Trns"): degree of progress of
transition (0 to 100%)
Center ("Rndm"): degree to which
distances moved by different pieces of
image are randomized (0 to 100%)
Right ("Angl"): direction of movement (–8
to +8)
Left ("Wdth"): width of partition (0 to
100%)
Center ("Rndm"): degree to which partition
width is randomized (0 to 100%)
Right ("Angl"): direction of partition (–8 to
+8)
