Chapter 8 Effect Utilities
Use the following procedure to format a floppy disk.
Note
Carrying out this procedure destroys any existing data on the
floppy disk. Check that the data on the floppy disk in the drive is
not required before continuing.

Press F2 (FUNCTION), to display "FORMAT" in green.
A message appears as follows, and the soft key indication for
F8 changes to "OK".
Insert disk to format n [Cancel]/[OK]

Insert the floppy disk to be formatted in the floppy disk drive.

Press F8 (OK).
Formatting begins. If it completes successfully, a message
"Finished" appears.
Use the following procedure to copy a file on floppy disk.
Notes
• When you copy a file, the previous contents of the destination
file are overwritten, and thus lost.
• If the destination file is write-protected (locked), the copy to that
file is not executed.

Insert the floppy disk containing the file you wish to copy in
the floppy disk drive.

Press F2 (FUNCTION), to display "COPY" in green.
The indicator to the left of the "COPY" item lights, and a
message appears as follows.
Select files and press [Cancel] / [OK]
