Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
The mosaic function divides up the image into a matrix of
rectangles, and averages the signal within each rectangle, giving a
mosaic effect.
In the VIDEO MODIFY menu, press F4 (MOSAIC) to display the
MOSAIC menu.

MOSAIC menu soft key indications
The following are some of the operations carried out in this menu.
Applying the mosaic effect – F1 (MOSAIC) to F5 (LOCK)
Use the following procedure.

Press F1 (MOSAIC), turning it on.

Press F2 (VIDEO KEY), to select the signal or signals to
which the mosaic effect is applied.

Adjust the "MOSAIC" parameters as follows.
• Left ("Size"): size of mosaic tile (0 to 100%)
• Center ("Asp"): aspect ratio of mosaic tile (–100 to +100%)

For mosaic tiles of randomly varying sizes, press F4
(RANDOM), turning it on.

Adjust the "RANDOM" parameters as follows.
• Left knob ("Sped"): rate at which the random pattern
changes (0 to 100%)
• Center knob ("Rndm"): degree of randomness (–100 to
+100%) (Based on the size set in the "Size" parameter.)

To stop the random pattern from changing, press F5 (LOCK)
to turn it on, then adjust the left knob ("Ptrn") to select random
pattern (number 0 to 25).
