Adjusting the drop shadow position and density
Adjust the "Position & Density" parameters.
• Left knob ("DX"): the drop shadow-position in the x-direction
(–4 to +4)
• Center knob ("DY"): the drop shadow position in the y-
direction. The setting range depends on the shadow mode
setting of F2 (AUTO or TARGET), as follows.
AUTO: –3 to +3
TARGET: –3 to 0
For details of the shadow mode, see the next selection.
• Right knob ("Dens"): shadow density (0 to 100%)
Selecting the shadow mode – F2 (SHADOW MODE)
• If the BKDM-7060 option is not installed, F2 (SHADOW
MODE) does not appear. In this case, the shadow mode is
automatically set to "AUTO".
• If no BKDM-7070 is installed, the "3D" shadow mode does not
appear.
Press F2 (SHADOW MODE) to cycle through the settings:
"AUTO", "TARGET", and "3D".
AUTO: The drop shadow x- and y-axes for an "overlap
nonlinear effect"or "brick effect" are defined in the target
space. For other effects they are defined in the source space.
Notes
• Applying the drop shadow function to a nonlinear effect
other than an "overlap nonlinear effect" (see page 5-90) may
result in shadows with unnatural shapes.
• When using the combiner function (see page 5-74) to
combine images, if the image from the upstream channel
includes an "overlap nonlinear effect", it is not possible to
apply a drop shadow to that image.
