Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
Applying the brick effect – F1 (BRICK)
Use the following procedure.
1
Press F1 (BRICK), turning it on.
A brick appears, with the input image appearing in the top. At
this point, the position in the z-axis of the source coordinates
is offset by one-half of the thickness of the brick, and as a
result the image grows slightly larger.
2
Adjust the "Height" parameters.
• Left knob ("Hight"): thickness (height) of the brick (0 to
6.0)
3
Press F3 (SIDE A ENB) or F4 (SIDE B ENB), to enable the
display of the side faces.
4
Press F2 (AUTO MODE) and select the method of inserting
the image in the side you selected in step 3.
CROP: The part of the image defined by the Crop Left, Crop
Right, Crop Top, and Crop Bottom values is shrunk to the
size of the side face, and inserted.
COMPRESSION: The image is inserted based on the Crop
Left, Crop Top, and compression ratio values.
Normally the "COMPRESSION" setting is recommended.
