Snapshots

Overview

Snapshots and registers
Key frames and snapshots
A snapshot means making a copy of all the current settings
governing the DME processing, and saving it in memory for later
recall.
The registers for snapshots have the same configuration as the
registers for key frame effects. In other words, there are 99
registers for each of the five channels (channels 1 to 4 and the
global channel).
Note
A battery backup is provided for the contents of the registers,
which are therefore preserved even when the unit is powered off.
However, after a certain time interval has elapsed (about one
week), the battery will be exhausted and the data lost. You are
recommended always to save required snapshots to floppy disk.
For details of saving snapshots to floppy disk, see the section
"Floppy Disk Operations – 77" (page 8-19).
Saving and recalling snapshots uses the same working key frame
buffer as key frames. As a result, you can use a recalled snapshot
for key frame editing.
Note
It is not possible to recall a snapshot during execution of a key
frame effect. It is also not possible to execute a key frame effect
while recalling a snapshot.
