Press F8 (OK) or the ENTER button.

Use either of the following methods to enter the characters of
the register name one by one (maximum eight alphanumeric
characters).
• Click with the cursor on the required character on the on-
screen keyboard.
• Use the control knobs to highlight the required character on
the on-screen keyboard in light blue, and press the SEL/FINE
button.
Left ( ): move the light blue highlighted character
horizontally.
Center ( ): move the light blue highlighted character
vertically.
Right ( ): delete the last input character.
The characters which you select appear in a name input
window.

Press F8 (OK) or the ENTER button.
This renames the register.
To cancel the renaming operation
Press F7 (CANCEL).
When you specified more than one register
Once one register has been renamed, the system prompts again
with the number of the next register to be renamed. Repeat steps 4
and 5 to enter the required register names.
Using the REGISTER NAME menu, as well as renaming registers,
you can carry out all the functions (recall, delete, copy, merge,
swap, write-protect (lock) and write-enable (unlock)) in the
REGISTER menu (page 8-3), using the same operational
technique as in the DISK menu (page 8-19).
If in a recall operation you press F8 (OK) without selecting a
register, this recalls an empty register.
