Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
In the FREEZE & RECUR menu, press F1 (INPUT FREEZE) to
display the INPUT FREEZE menu.

INPUT FREEZE menu soft key indications
The following are some of the operations carried out in this menu.
F1 to F5 act as radio buttons, that is, pressing any of them toggles
the corresponding function on or off, and it is not possible to have
more than one function on at a time.
Freezing the input frame – F1 (HARD FREEZE)
Press F1 (HARD FREEZE), turning it on.
This freezes the input video.
Recalling the last freeze frame – F2 (LAST FREEZE)
Press F2 (LAST FREEZE), turning it on.
This recalls the last frame frozen on the main monitor.
Selecting a stroboscope effect – F3 (TIME STROBE)
To freeze the input video at regular intervals of a number of
frames, use the following procedure.

Press F3 (TIME STROBE), turning it on.

Adjust the parameters as follows.
• Left knob ("Dur"): interval between freeze frames (0 to 255
frames)
The value is specified in frames to two decimal places. If
set to 30.50 frames, for example, the freeze interval
alternates between 30 and 31 frames.
• Center knob ("Live"): proportion of the interval between two
successive freeze frames for which the video is run (0 to
100%)
