Strobing on each key frame – F4 (KF STROBE)
Press F4 (KF STROBE), turning it on.
This freezes the input video on each key frame of the effect.
Obtaining an impression of film frame flicker – F5 (FILM)
Use the following procedure.
1
Press F5 (FILM), turning it on.

Turn the left knob ("Film") to adjust the degree of film frame
flicker (0 to 100%).
Selecting the video freeze timing – F6 (VIDEO TIMING)
Press F6 (VIDEO TIMING), to cycle through the following
possibilities.
Frame: freeze a frame.
Field 1: freeze the first field of a frame.
Field 2: freeze the second field of a frame.
Selecting the key frame freeze timing – F7 (KEY TIMING)
Press F7 (KEY TIMING) to cycle through the possibilities:
"Frame", "Field 1", or "Field 2".
Selecting which signals are frozen – F8 (DELEGATION)
The freeze function can apply to the video signal, or to the key
signal, or to both.
Press F8 (DELEGATION) to cycle through the following
possibilities:
Video & Key: Apply to the video and key images
simultaneously.
Video: Apply to the video image only. The key image is
unaffected.
Key: Apply to the key image only. The video image is
unaffected.
