Renaming a file – RENAME

Chapter 8 Effect Utilities
By default, when you save registers to a disk, every one of the files
is given the name "EFFECT", "SNAPSHOT", or "SETUP"
Use the following procedure to rename a file on a floppy disk.

Insert the floppy disk containing the file to be renamed in the
floppy disk drive.

Press F2 (FUNCTION), to display "RENAME" in green.
The indicator to the left of the "RENAME" item lights, and a
message appears as follows.
Select files and press [Cancel]/[OK]

Use F3 (˘) and F4 (≥) to display the required file number in
green, and then press F5 (SELECT). Alternatively, click on
the register number displayed on the screen, using the mouse.
To select all of the files, press F6 (ALL).
A blue bar appears attached to the file number, and the soft
key indication for F8 changes to "OK".
Repeat step 3 as necessary, if you wish to rename more than
one file.

Press F8 (OK) or the ENTER button.
A message appears as follows.
(In this example, 12 has been specified as the number of the
file to be renamed.)
12 EFFECT:Input new name
