A previously silenced alarm audio can be reactivated by

Alarms and Alerts (continued)
A sequence of audio and/or visual signals indicating the system operation status.
An audible and visual indicator of a potential or actual hazardous condition.
Alarms can be silence for up to 120 seconds by pressing the SILENCE key. The alarm indicator
remains on and the alarm silence symbol is displayed. The silence period can be ended by
pressing the CANCEL SILENCE soft key. An alarm can be silenced in the PANEL LOCKED
condition.
A visual, audible, or visual and audible signal provided by the Alaris System. This includes
alarms, informational, and reminder signals.
A technical procedure, defined in the Technical Services Manual, to verify instrument calibration.
An alarm may be canceled by pressing the cancel silence soft key. If the alarm condition has not
been resolved, the alarm audio resumes.
A visual message when a designated drug is selected to remind the clinician of specific
hospital/facility standards of practice when programming an IV medication. A specific Clinical
Advisory and/or message can be associated with a selected drug within any of the patient care
Profiles. Clinical Advisories are not displayed in Anesthesia mode.
PC unit and Auto-ID (barcode) module
A high-priority alarm is initiated by any alarm condition requiring immediate user response.
Any signal that is not an alarm signal or a reminder signal.
An alarm arising from an infusion module (PCA, Syringe, Pump)
A low-priority alarm is initiated by any condition requiring user awareness.
