Alaris System are correct prior to starting the infusion.
The rate, VTBI, and duration are pre-populated from the
automated programming request.

5. For the Syringe module, unclamp tubing and attach
administration set to patient.
NOTE:
Unclamping tubing and starting infusion before attaching
administration set to patient minimizes any potential bolus
that can be released from pressure built up in set due to
normal syringe loading and priming.
