Description a. Tray adjacent switch is activated.

replace the motor if necessary.

Description The swing guide safety switch is turned ON during the

Measures 1. Check the connectors of the swing guide safety switch
(front/rear) (SW102/SW104) and the staple position switch
(SW103).
2. Check the connectors of the swing guide solenoid (SL101)
and the tray 1 shift motor (M105).
3. Check the connection of the swing guide safety switch
(front/rear) (SW102/SW104) and the staple position switch
(SW103) harnesses.
4. Check the connection of the swing guide solenoid (SL101)
and the tray 1 shift motor (M105) harnesses.
5. Replace the swing guide safety switch (front/rear) (SW102/
SW104).
6. Replace the staple position switch (SW103).
7. Replace the swing guide solenoid (SL101).
8. Replace the tray 1 shift motor (M105).
9. Replace the finisher controller PCB.

Description Up/down operation is not completed within 25 sec after the

Description The swing guide safety switch (front/rear) is turned ON.

Measures 1. Check the connector of the swing guide safety switch (front/
rear) (SW102/SW104).
2. Check the connector of the staple position switch (SW103).
3. Replace the swing guide safety switch (front/rear) (SW102/
SW104).
4. Replace the staple position switch (SW103).
5. Replace the swing guide solenoid (SL101).
6. Replace the tray 2 shift motor (M217).
7. Replace the finisher controller PCB.

b. Error in the tray 2 shift motor (Fin-AG)
Description a. Tray B rotation sensor does not come ON within 300 msec
of detection after the tray B up/down motor starts operation.
b. The tray 2 does not come off the tray 2 area sensor at the
same area.
Measures a-1. Check the connector of the tray B rotation sensor.
a-2. Check the connector of the tray B up/down motor.
a-3. Replace the tray B rotation sensor.
a-4. Replace the tray B up/down motor.
a-5. Replace the finisher controller PCB.
b-1. Check the connectors of the tray 2 area sensors (S125/
S126/S127), and replace the sensors if necessary.
b-2. Check the connector of the tray 2 shift motor (M217), and
replace the motor if necessary.
b-4. Replace the finisher controller PCB.

Description a. Detected position of tray B is above the intermediate

b. The tray 2 detects the discontinuous area with the tray 2
area sensors.
Measures a-1. Check the connector of the tray B area sensor, and
replace the sensor if necessary.
a-2. Replace the finisher controller PCB.
b-1. Check the connectors of the tray 2 area sensors (S125/
S126/S127) and the tray 2 paper sensor (S105), and
replace the sensors if necessary.
b-2. Check the connector of the tray 2 shift motor (M217), and
replace the motor if necessary.
b-3. Replace the finisher controller PCB.
