TAB-SKEW Adj skew when feeding tab first
Lv.1 Details To adjust skew amount of paper when feeding/printing tab paper with
tab side being fed first.
Amount of change (mm) = Input value x Paper length in
longitudinal direction (mm) /15200
+: Clockwise rotation (Right margin at the trailing edge becomes
smaller.)
-: Counterclockwise rotation (Right margin at the trailing edge
becomes larger.)
When feeding tab papers with tab side being fed first (TBTP-PRT is 1),
this item is enabled.
Use case When feeding tab paper with tab side being fed first
• Operation check after installation
• Check/adjustment when replacing the sensor related to skew of
active registration
• Check/adjustment when replacing the Active Registration Unit
• When adjustment is requested by a user
Adj/set/operate method Input the setting value, and press OK.

TAB-TOP Adj img lead edge pstn:feeding tab first
Lv.1 Details To adjust image leading edge position when feeding/printing tab
paper with tab side being fed first.
As the value is incremented by 1, the image moves in the feeding
direction by 0.1mm.
+: Trailing edge side (Margin at the leading edge of the image
becomes larger.)
-: Leading edge side (Margin at the leading edge of the image
becomes smaller.)
When feeding tab papers with tab side being fed first (TBTP-PRT is 1),
this item is enabled.
Use case When feeding tab paper with tab side being fed first
• Operation check after installation
• Check/adjustment when replacing the Image Reference Sensor
or the Reflection-type/Transmission-type Sensor at the Active
Registration Unit

TBTP-ADJ Adj tab judgmt threshold: feed tab first
Lv.1 Details To adjust the tab judgment threshold when feeding/printing tab paper
with tab side being fed first.
Consider the skew amount toward front/rear detected by the CIS as A,
the skew amount in feed direction detected by the Secondary Skew
Sensors as B, and tab judgment threshold as C.
If A-B</=C, it is judged that tab part is not on the Secondary Skew
Sensors and consider the side which paper feed is delayed as
leading edge of paper.
If A-B>C, it is judged that tab part is on the Secondary Skew
Sensors, and consider [position at which paper feed is advanced - A]
as leading edge of paper.
Since the value A and B vary depending on conditions, if the result of
skew correction varies, adjust C as needed.
C=200+10 alpha (mm)
Because the adjustment value alpha changes by 0.01mm, as the
value is incremented by 1, the value C is increased by 0.1mm.
If the slant area of tab is at the Secondary Skew Sensor (Front/Rear)
(position at 76mm from the center of the paper), skew correction
varies significantly so reduce the alpha.
