This document deals with dynamic reconfiguration. Dynamic reconfiguration is a procedure
that allows the hardware units of a computer system to be configured without having to
interrupt the functioning of its operating system. This type of configuration therefore also
allows any applications located on the system to continue operating.
This document provides an introduction to this procedure. It describes the basics of the
procedure and its approach and explains this using examples.
