Viewing controller configurations

Transferring a config file

Transfer a configuration file to and from the controller using the Transfer screen. Transferring the
controller configuration is recommended to keep viable configurations available in a secure
location. The following file transfer configurations are possible:

To transfer the contents of a configuration file:
1. Click the Transfer Files button on the bottom of the Configuration screen.
2. Refer to the Source field to define the location and address information for the source config
3. Refer to the Target field to specify the details of the target file.
4. Refer to the Status field for the current state of the requests made from the applet. Requests

From Select the location representing the source file's current location using the From
drop-down menu. Options include Server, Local Disk and Controller.
File Specify a source file for the file transfer. If the controller is selected, the file used at
startup automatically displays within the File parameter.
Using
Refer to the Using drop down-menu to configure whether the log file transfer is
conducted using FTP or TFTP. FTP transfers require a valid user ID and password.
IP Address Enter the IP Address of the server or system receiving the source configuration.
Ensure the IP address is valid or risk jeopardizing the success of the file transfer.
User ID
Enter the User ID credentials required to transfer the configuration file from a FTP
server.
Password Enter the Password required to send the configuration file from an FTP server.
Path Specify an appropriate Path name to the target directory on the local system disk
or server. The Target options are different depending on the target selected.
To Use the To drop-down menu to define the location of the configuration file. Options
include the controller (default location), external server or local disk.
File
Use the File field to specify a target file for the file transfer. Use the File Browser
icon to search attached files systems for target file location.
