Viewing controller port information
3. Enter the following parameters to configure a WAN Interface Card:.

Access Port Name
If your Wireless WAN service provider requires you to specify an Access Point
Name, enter that value here.
Authentication
Select an authentication type from the pull-down menu. The authentication type
will be determined by the requirements of your Wireless WAN service provider.
User Name
Enter the User Name configured for use with the Wireless WAN Interface Card.
Password
Enter the Password associated with the above User Name for the Wireless WAN
Interface Card.
Activation Mode
Select Enable from the pull-down menu to enable the Wireless WAN Interface
Card. Select disable from the pull-down menu to turn off the Wireless WAN
Interface Card.
Signal Strength
Displays the signal strength in dBm for the WAN Interface Card. A value of 0 means
that the signal strength status is not available.
Signal Coverage
Displays the Signal Coverage status provided by the WAN Interface Card.
Preferred DNS Server
Displays the primary/preferred DNS Server provided by the Wireless WAN service
provider.
Alternate DNS Server
Displays the secondary/alternate DNS Server provided by the Wireless WAN
service provider.
NOTE
In order to use a 3G Wireless WAN interface card with the controller it must first be activated
on a laptop. For activation information please consult the carier's activation instructions
included with the card.
