Application Guide
0 = Repeat channel A
1 = Repeat channel B
7.310 (ID 3003) Encoder Advanced Control Word
Location in the menu: P3.15.3
Use this parameter to set the encoder advanced control word for encoder channel A.
7.311 (ID 3010) Input Control
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.1
Use this parameter to set the encoder input control word. Select single-ended or active low signaling from input A, B, Z, or M.
7.312 (ID 3011) Input AB Swap
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.2
Use this parameter to interchange input A and B for the encoder and thus change the nominal encoder direction.
7.313 (ID 3016) Resolution Prescale
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.7
Use this parameter to prescale the internal resolution. The function divides the encoder internal resolution by an integral value.
7.314 (ID 3012) Encoder Debounce Time
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.3
Use this parameter to set the debounce time (noise/error filter) applied to the encoder inputs A, B, and Z.
7.315 (ID 3017) Hysteresis Filter Prescale
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.8
Use this parameter to set the hysteresis prescale function. The function uses a subset of an internal position counter to determine a
direction change and to supply a pulse/heartbeat signal.
7.316 (ID 3013) Marker Debounce Time
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.4
Use this parameter to set the debounce time (noise/error filter) applied to the encoder marker input M.
7.317 (ID 3018) Encoder Resolution
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.9
Use this parameter to set the native resolution or line count of the encoder.
7.318 (ID 3014) Marker Event Mode
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.5
Use this parameter to set the marker event source for encoder channel A.
7.319 (ID 3019) Motor Pole Pairs
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.10
Use this parameter to set the motor pole pair number. The number is used to calculate the electrical frequency of the encoder.
7.320 (ID 3015) Encoder Mode
Location in the menu: P3.15.4.6
Use this parameter to set the encoder operation mode.
Quadrature Mode
The phase order of the A and B input signals determines the counting direction. The direction of speed is determined from 90°
difference in the signals.
When the A pulses precede B pulses, rotational direction is forward. Position Counter counting direction is incrementing.
When the A pulses succeed B pulses, rotational direction is reverse. Position Counter counting direction is decrementing.
The 16-bit position counter is incremented or decremented after each edge of A input and B input.
