Engine - gearbox assembly: Removal - Refitting

III - FINAL OPERATION

a Clip:
- the gearbox control cables onto their supports,
- the gearbox control cables onto their ball joints.
a Connect:
- the reverse gear connector,
- the rigid clutch pipe to the clutch thrust bearing.

a Fit the gearbox control cable.
a Clip the gearbox control cable onto the gear lever.
a Refit:
- the power-assisted steering oil pipe,
- the power-assisted steering oil pipe bracket bolt on
the steering box.
AJ0
a Refit the nut of the power-assisted steering oil pipe
on the left-hand suspended engine mounting.
a Connect the power-assisted steering pump pipe.
a Fit the clip for the power-assisted steering pump us-
ing the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the heater matrix pipes.
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Connect:
- the vacuum pipe union to the inlet distributor,
- the oil vapour rebreather pipe union to the inlet dis-
tributor,
- the inlet distributor fuel supply union.
a Fit:
- the engine wiring channel,
- the engine wiring.
a Attach the engine harness to the engine harness
channel.
a Clip:
- the petrol injection computer wiring,
- the feed wiring on the battery disconnection unit.

a Refit the earth cable on the gearbox.
a Connect:
- the gearbox connector,
- the gearbox computer connector.
a Refit the earth wiring nuts to the front left-hand side
member.
a Refit:
- the radiator mounting cross member (see Radiator
mounting cross member: Removal - Refitting)
(41A, Front upper structure),
- the « engine cooling fan unit - cooling radiator -
condenser - intercooler » assembly,
- the cooling radiator air scoops.
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Refit the air conditioning pipe on the compressor.
a Connect the upper cooling pipe to the cooling radia-
tor.
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Fit:
- the clip of the upper cooling pipe on the cooling ra-
diator side using the tool (Mot. 1448),
- the « compressor - condenser » connecting pipe,
- the « condenser - expansion valve » connecting
pipe.
a Refit:
- the « compressor - condenser » connecting pipe
bolt,
- the « condenser - expansion valve » connecting
pipe bolt.
a Refit:
- a new seal to the intercooler air outlet pipe,
- a new seal to the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Push:
- the clip of the intercooler air outlet pipe,
- the clip of the intercooler air inlet pipe.
