Inlet distributor: Removal - Refitting

a Disconnect the following from the inlet manifold:
- the intake distributor pressure sensor connector (4)
,
- the brake servo pipe union (5) ,
- the oil vapour rebreathing hose.
a Unclip the following from the inlet manifold:
- the engine wiring (6) ,
- the petrol vapour recirculation pipe (7) .

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the intake distributor bolts (8) ,
- the intake distributor,
- the inlet manifold seals.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (04B, Consuma-
bles - Products) to clean and degrease:
- the housing of each inlet manifold seal,
- the seal face of the injector holder shim.
a Always replace the inlet manifold seals.
a Fit new seals to the inlet manifold.
a When replacing the inlet manifold, remove from the
inlet manifold:
- the air temperature sensor,
- the inlet manifold pressure sensor.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the intake distributor.
