Wear latex gloves during the operation.
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Remove the front engine cover.
a Undo the intercooler air inlet pipe clip (1) .
a Remove the intercooler air inlet pipe bolt (2) .
a Disconnect the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Move the intercooler inlet air pipe to one side.
a Remove the coils (see 17A, Ignition, Coils: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 17A-1) .
a Unclip:
- the coil wiring,
- the upstream oxygen sensor wiring.

a Disconnect the oil vapour rebreathing pipes (3) from
the oil decanter.
a Remove the bolt (4) from the turbocharger bracket.
