Oil-coolant heat exchanger: Removal - Refitting

Mot. 1448 Remote operation pliers for
hose clips.

REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Remove:
- the engine cover,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray,
- the front right-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting) (35A, Wheels and tyres).
a Remove the oil filter (see 10A, Engine and cylinder
block assembly, Oil filter: Removal - Refitting,
page 10A-117) .
49 N.m
a Fit hose clamps (Ms. 583) (1) on the cooling hoses.
a Separate the clips (2) on the cooling hoses using the
tool (Mot. 1448).
Note:
Prepare for the outflow of coolant.
a Disconnect the cooling hoses from the oil-water heat
exchanger.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the oil filter nipple (3) ,
- the oil-water heat exchanger,
- the oil-water heat exchanger seal.
Note:
Prepare for the engine oil to drain out.
