Rear exhaust manifold: Removal - Refitting

a Remove the turbocharger heat shield.
WARNING
T o prevent the surrounding components from
overheating, do not damage (tear, pierce, bend,
etc.) a heat shield.
Any damaged heat shields must be replaced.
a Remove the catalytic pre-converter nuts (11) .
a Move aside the catalytic pre-converter.
a Remove:
- the catalytic pre-converter seal,
- the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe (see 14A,
Antipollution, Exhaust gas recirculation rigid
pipe: Removal - Refitting, page 14A-62) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-51) .
FUEL MIXTURE

a Unclip the cooling hose at the inlet of the exhaust
gas cooler from the back row rail protector.
a Disconnect the cooling hose (12) at the inlet of the
exhaust gas cooler.
a Disconnect:
- the vacuum hose (13) of the exhaust gas cooler di-
aphragm control,
- the fuel discharge hose (14) on the back row.
