IMPORTANT
Wear protective gloves during the operation.
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove:
- the intake distributor (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Inlet
distributor: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-75) ,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray.

a Remove:
- the bolts (1) from the exhaust bracket,
- the ring between the exhaust manifold and the cat-
alytic converter.
a Remove:
- the nut (2) from the exhaust manifold stay,
- the bolt (3) from the exhaust manifold stay,
- the exhaust manifold stay.
