Rocker cover: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 780
a Tighten the rocker cover bolts in order.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Clip on the upper timing cover.
a Refit:
- the diesel injector fuel return rail (see 13B, Diesel
injection, Diesel injector fuel return rail: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 13B-108) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-51) ,
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) ,
- the rail protector cover bracket.
- the rail protector cover bracket bolt.
a Tighten the rail protector cover bracket bolt.
a Clip the diesel injector wiring onto the rocker cover.
a Connect the diesel injector connectors.
a Connect the oil vapour recirculation pipe onto the
rocker cover.
a Refit:
- the injector rail protector cover,
- the injector rail protector cover nut,
- the injector rail protector cover bolt.
a Tighten:
- the injector rail protector cover nut,
- the injector rail protector cover bolt.
a Clip on the injector rail protector cover.
a Fit:
- the intercooler air inlet pipe,
- the clips to the intercooler inlet air pipe in their orig-
inal position.
a Clip the intercooler air inlet pipe onto the turbocharg-
er and intercooler.
a Refit:
- the nut to the intercooler inlet air pipe,
- the intercooler air inlet hose bolt.
a Tighten:
- the nut to the intercooler inlet air pipe,

- the intercooler air inlet hose bolt.
a Clip the electrical wiring to the injector rail protector
cover.
a Connect:
- the camshaft position sensor connector,
- the damper valve connector,
- the intercooler outlet air pipe to the damper valve.
a Tighten the intercooler air outlet pipe clip.
a Refit the engine cover.
