- the injector rails (see 13B, Diesel injection, Injec-

- the rocker covers (see 11A, Top and front of en-
gine, Rocker cover: Removal - Refitting, page
11A-139) .
II - CAMSHAFT REMOVAL OPERATION
a Fit the rocker cover on the tool (Mot. 1573) or on a
cylinder head support.

a Mark the position of the camshaft bearing caps us-
ing a indelible pencil.
a Remove:
- the camshaft bearing cap bolts (1) ,
- the camshaft bearing caps,
- the camshafts on the inlet side (2) ,
- the camshafts on the exhaust side (3) .
