Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Refitting

a Torque tighten the lower oil return pipe bolts (10
N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Clip on the turbocharger control solenoid valve.
a Connect the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Fit the clip of the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Refit:
- a new seal between the catalytic pre-converter and
the turbocharger,
- the catalytic pre-converter.
a Torque tighten the catalytic pre-converter nuts on
the turbocharger (21 Nm).
a Refit a new seal between the connecting hose and
the catalytic pre-converter.
a Position the connecting hose on the catalytic pre-
converter.
a Tighten to torque:
- the flexible connection pipe nuts on the catalyt-
ic pre-converter (21 Nm),
- the turbocharger heat shield studs, if they were
loosened during the removal operation (13
N.m).
a Refit the turbocharger heat shield.
a Fit:
- the rigid cooling pipe of the exhaust fuel injector
cooler on the catalytic pre-converter,
- the rigid cooling pipe of the exhaust fuel injector
cooler on the turbocharger.
a Refit:
- the nut of the rigid cooling pipes of the exhaust fuel
injector cooler on the catalytic pre-converter,
- the catalytic pre-converter upper stay.
a Fit without tightening the nut of the catalytic pre-con-
verter upper stay.
a Refit the catalytic pre-converter lower stay.
a Fit without tightening the lower stay nuts on the up-
per stay.
a Torque tighten the catalytic pre-converter stay
studs on the cylinder block and on the gearbox
(8 N.m).
a Fit without tightening:
- the lower stay nuts on the cylinder block and on the
gearbox,

- the lower stay nuts on the catalytic pre-converter.
a Tighten to torque:
- the catalytic pre-converter upper stay nut (21
N.m),
- the lower stay nuts on the upper stay (21 N.m),
- the lower stay nuts on the cylinder block and on
the gearbox (21 N.m),
- the lower stay nuts on the catalytic pre-convert-
er (21 N.m).
a Clip the crankshaft position sensor wiring onto the
catalytic pre-converter stay.
a Refit:
- the lower engine tie-bars (see 1 9 D, Engine
mounting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 19D-85) ,
- the rigid cooling pipe nut on the turbocharger.
a Torque tighten the turbocharger heat shield nuts
(8 N.m).
a Connect the cooling hose to the turbocharger rigid
cooling pipe.
a Fit the turbocharger cooling hose clip using the
(Mot. 1448).
a Fill and bleed the cooling system (see 19A, Cool-
ing, Cooling system: Draining - Refilling, page
19A-16) .
a Refit:
- the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
Refitting) (55A, Exterior protection),
- the front wheel arch liners (see Front wheel arch
liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Exterior protec-
tion),
- the front wheels (see Wheel: Removal - Refitting)
(35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the engine undertray,
- the engine cover.
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
