ENGINE AND CYLINDER BLOCK ASSEMBLY
Drive plate: Removal - Refitting
M9R, and 805 or 809 or 845 or 849
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Fit the (Mot. 1316) (1) on the starter upper bolt.
a Remove:
- the drive plate bolts,
- the (Mot. 1316) (2) .
- the drive plate (3) ,
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Visually inspect the condition of the crown wheel
and the drive plate.
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (04B, Consuma-
bles - Products) to clean and degrease:
- the drive plate,
- the drive plate bearing face on the crankshaft,
- the drive plate thread holes on the crankshaft.
a Systematically replace the drive plate bolts.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the drive plate.

a Refit the new drive plate bolts.

a Fit the bolts onto the drive plate without tightening
them.
a Position the (Mot. 1316).
a Pre-tighten to torque and in order the drive plate
bolts (initial torque) (30 N.m).
a Torque tighten in order the drive plate bolts (35
N.m + 40˚ ± ± ± ± 6˚).
a Remove the tool (Mot. 1316).
