TOP AND FRONT OF ENGINE
Timing chain: Removal - Refitting

a Fit the new timing chain guide (21) .
a Torque tighten:
- the timing chain guide bolts (initial torque) (5
N.m) (22) .
- the timing chain guide bolts (25 N.m) (22) .
a Fit the new timing sprocket (23) onto the crankshaft.
Note:
The timing chain does not have a direction of fit-
ting.
a Position:
- the new timing chain on the sprocket (23) (align the
mark on the sprocket with the copper chain links),
- the new timing sprocket (24) on the chain (align the
mark on the sprocket with the copper chain links).
a Refit the timing sprocket (24) onto the camshaft on
the exhaust side.
a Place the new washer (26) of the timing sprocket
(25) .
a Finger tighten the new bolts (27) of the sprocket.
Note:
Allow the timing sprocket (25) to rotate freely .
