Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 780
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove the turbocharger oil supply pipe hollow bolt
(5) .
a Loosen the turbocharger oil supply pipe nut (6) on
the cylinder head.
a Remove the turbocharger oil supply pipe nut (6) on
the cylinder head.
a Remove the turbocharger oil supply pipe.
a Wipe away any oil run-off.
REFITTING THE TURBOCHARGER OIL
SUPPLY PIPE
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: turbocharger oil
supply pipe (10,09,03,01)
a parts always to be replaced: Turbocharger oil
supply pipe bolt (10,09,03,04)
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Fit a new turbocharger oil supply pipe.
a Fit the turbocharger oil supply pipe nut on the cylin-
der head, without tightening it.
a Refit a new hollow bolt on the turbocharger oil sup-
ply pipe.

a Torque tighten:
- the turbocharger oil supply pipe nut on the cyl-
inder head (35 N.m) using the tool (Mot. 1566) or
the tool (Mot. 1746),
- the turbocharger oil supply pipe hollow bolt (14
N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Fit the air filter unit air outlet pipe.
a Tighten the clips on the air outlet pipe of the air filter
unit.
a Clip the electric wiring onto the air filter unit air outlet
pipe.
a Connect:
- the turbocharging regulation solenoid valve con-
nector,
- the air flowmeter connector.
a Refit the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve
(see 14A, Antipollution, Exhaust gas recircula-
tion solenoid valve: Removal - Refitting, page
14A-11) .
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
a Disconnect the high pressure pump flow and pres-
sure regulator connectors to prevent the engine from
starting.
a Run the starter motor until the oil warning light goes
out (do this for a few seconds).
a Switch off the ignition.
a Connect the high pressure pump flow and pressure
regulator connectors.
a Start the engine.
a Let the engine idle then depress the accelerator sev-
eral times with no load.
a Switch off the ignition.
a Check:
- that the turbocharger is operating correctly,
- that there are no oil leaks from the turbocharger.
a Connect the Diagnostic tool and deal with any
present fault(s).
